CommAgility wins Queen’s Award for Enterprise
CommAgility announced today that it has won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, the UK’s highest accolade for business success. The wireless technology company, based on º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Science and Enterprise Park, received the award for International Trade, in recognition of its success in selling to overseas markets. From 2010 to 2012, CommAgility’s export sales grew by 51%.

Graduate’s cleantech firm to convert runners’ footsteps into electricity at Paris Marathon
Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, has commissioned Pavegen, the award-winning cleantech firm founded by a º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ graduate, to capture the kinetic energy generated at the Schneider Electric Paris Marathon on Sunday 7 April. This will be the largest ever install of Pavegen Systems’ unique technology; comprising over 25 metres of energy harvesting tiles on the runner’s course, spectator-viewing platforms, and at other key points along the route.

Intelligent Energy reports highest power densities yet for automatic fuel cells
Intelligent Energy, the global power technology company founded on º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ research, has just announced that its proprietary fuel cell technology is providing leading levels of power output and performance for a number of its automotive customers, with the company’s fuel cell stacks demonstrating continuous volumetric and gravimetric power densities of 3.7 kW/L and 2.5 kW/kg, respectively.
