Student Food Sustainability Hackathon: How can students take collective action for food sustainability on campus?
6 November, 2pm-6pm (room to be confirmed)
All students are invited to join this exciting opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals from across the University to co-create ideas in answer to this important question. You’ll join the University’s Sustainability team and academics to get creative and be proactive in thinking about how our role as a University impacts the natural world and its global community.
The aim of the event is to engage students in collective food sustainability action, which is becoming increasingly important for us all to address given the current climate crisis. By taking part, you’ll increase your understanding of food sustainability; collaborate with other students; pitch proposals to the wider University community; and create social media content to promote your ides. All of these are a great way to develop skills that can help you stand out to future employers, as well as inspire future students.
The event is free to attend and refreshments as well as a supper afterwards will be provided. Please note there will be limited capacity so please register your interest as soon as possible.
