Be part of the newly-launched EDI Hub

The EDI Hub is a new online platform for staff and students to talk about equity, diversity and inclusion.

The space is designed to support everyone in the University community to understand how EDI relates to you, your job role, your studies and your º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ experience. It is a safe space to ask questions, build community and support your knowledge development.

Topics will be determined by the community; you can post articles and resources that are interesting to you, putting you at the centre of strategic conversations. You can comment on posts, initiate discussions and share your thoughts and experiences with other members of the EDI hub.

The EDI hub also contains information on º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ’s EDI strategy and key priorities, useful contacts in the EDI space, and plenty of resources to support you with your EDI objectives.

Based on Microsoft Teams, you can use this space to:

  • Discuss how Equity, Diversity and Inclusion relate to you and your job role or studies

  • Share your thoughts on something you have read or watched, or a personal story or experience you would like to see.

  • Share useful resources and good practice

  • Share progress on your work towards EDI objectives

  • Celebrate successes and achievements across both campuses

  • Promote EDI events on campus and in the local community

  • Access information on º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ’s EDI strategy and priorities

  • Access community and guidance to support your EDI work

Professor Charlotte Croffie, Pro Vice-Chancellor for EDI commented: “Many of you would have heard me talk about the importance of ‘Strategic Conversations’ as a way for everyone across the University to be able to engage in the EDI space. It is strategic because it involves everyone and because your views and contributions matter.

“This is why I am pleased to announce the launch of the EDI Hub - the Centre for EDI Strategic Conversations. It has been made possible thanks to the work of Tanika Dhiri (Strategic Support Project Officer)  and Emily Segaran (EDI Coordinator), and has been in development for just shy of a year. It has been designed to be a virtual hub where the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ community can come together to share, discuss and post on EDI topics that you would like to highlight.

“The vision is for it to grow into a one-stop shop with content developed by you, showcasing who we are and what we care about, how we can do and hope to make a difference in the EDI space. A place where we can positively celebrate our difference, be our authentic selves as part of a Vibrant and Inclusive community.”
