Criminology, Sociology and Social Policy students awarded prizes at Graduation

Last week, our 2024 Criminology, Sociology and Social Policy cohort graduated and enjoyed a brilliant day on campus celebrating with friends, family, and staff members from our School.

During the day, prizes were handed out to students that excelled during their time studying our Criminology, Sociology and joint honours programmes. Prizes were awarded to:

  • Rebecca Jackson - School of Social Sciences and Humanities Community Prizes: Criminology, Sociology and Social Policy: Part C
  • Beth Allcock- Professor Albert Cherns Memorial Prize
  • Blessing Ozo - Professor Albert Cherns Memorial Prize

The School of Social Sciences and Humanities Community Prize is a prize to the value of £50 to a student who is judged to have made an exceptional extra-curricular contribution to the discipline, School, University or wider community

Awarded annually to the student achieving the highest mark in the dissertation module. The Professor Albert Cherns Memorial Prize takes the form of a certificate and a £50 Amazon voucher. Professor Cherns was the founding Head of the Department of Social Sciences at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ and the prizes are presented each year at a reception held for graduates and their guests following the summer degree ceremony
