Irene Hardill is Professor of Public Policy and Co-Director of the Civil Society and Citizenship Research Cluster at Northumbria University. Her research is on the changing world of work, public policy and the lifecourse. She is a Fellow of the Social Sciences and has led and worked in multi-disciplinary research teams (cross institution and cross national). In addition to managing an extensive list of ESRC-funded projects, she has managed projects from other sponsors including the Leverhulme Trust, AgeUK and Age Concern England, the English Regions Network, the Canadian High Commission, and the French Government.
