During the day, 13 prize awards were handed out to PGT students that excelled during their time studying our Geography programmes.

The Community prize is awarded to students who are judged to have made an exceptional extra-curricular contribution to the discipline, School, University or wider community.
The Dissertation prizes are awarded annually to the student who obtains the highest Dissertation mark on their individual programmes.
The STEER prize for Excellence in Energy modelling is awarded to the student who obtains the highest mark across modules GYP052 (Mapping and Modelling the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) & GYP054 (Economic Modelling and Policy for Sustainable Development.)
Carbon Literacy Certification recognises students who have met the requirements of the Carbon Literacy Standard, showing an understanding of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis.
