Dr Elizabeth Mavroudi was one of four keynote speakers at the opening plenary session of the 19th annual IMISCOE conference, held in Oslo (29 June-1 July). IMISCOE (International Migration Research Network) is Europe's largest interdisciplinary research network in the field of migration, integration and diversity studies. The research network currently consists of over 1000 researchers from 61 research institutes from almost all European countries and from various disciplines, including sociology, political science, economics, law, demography, public administration, social geography and history. The opening plenary was on The temporal turn in migration studies and kickstarted the three day conference.
Professor Darren Smith was a keynote speaker at the 3rd International Conference on Migration and Mobilities at St Andrews, Scotland. Darren’s talk focused on A 'perfect storm': The tidal wave of post-pandemic internal migration and was one of four keynote presentations at this important 3-day conference. The inaugural iMigMob conference was established and hosted by GYE in July 2016, and this event is now firmly established as a key international event for migration scholars.
