The award is an academic sponsorship to help support Oscar’s MSc student project titled "Effects of water injection dredging on fish community characteristics and behaviours: the case of the River Parrett, Somerset Levels, UK".
The project links to the larger EPSRC/IDB-funded project and is a collaborative effort between º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ’s Dr Andrew Pledger, Prof Paul Wood and Dr Dapeng Yu, Fishtrack Ltd (Andy Hindes), the Somerset Levels Drainage Board Consortium, and Van Oord.
The grant includes a £750 ‘student award’ for Oscar, with the remaining money going towards project costs. Dredging began this week (pictured), where development can be followed via our Twitter @LboroGeog.
