The aim of the research is to identify how agency is maintained in people living with dementia with the use of smart speakers.

Research:

Lauren’s research looks at the maintenance of agency in people living with dementia with the use of smart speakers. She will use conversation analysis to examine interactions between people living with dementia and their careers in their own homes.

Another focus of her research will involve interviews with people living with dementia and their carers to gain a perception of how the smart speakers are used in this setting.
