Hannah's thesis draws from ethnographic fieldwork notes and interviews with former players, current players, journalists and media managers to understand how visibility is created and experienced both in the everyday and during a heightened period of visibility during a major sports event.
Hannah has also been successful in securing a MITACS x UKRI research exchange to the University of Guelph where she will be working with Professor Ann Pegoraro on examining media, sport and stakeholding - exploring the sport media ecosystems and gender equity in Canada and the UK.
