I chose to study Sports and Exercise Science at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ because of its well-known reputation for Sports-related subjects. In addition to that, the world-class facilities and the faculties attracted me to come here.
The labs in the Clyde Williams building helped me to understand Biomechanics more visually by doing different experiments myself. Furthermore, I have also found the study area in the National Centre of Sport and Exercise Medicine a perfect space to work in.
I have found the module ‘Integrated, Professional and Applied Skills in Sport and Exercise Science’ to be very informative. We get to experience the expertise of those working in different sports disciplines to get a sense of the reality of working in sports.
This has provided me with a lot of valuable insight into the industry and helped me realise the areas I need to work on to become a more competitive candidate in job applications.
Since I have only recently started my university journey, I want to keep an open mind on my future career paths. I find the career fairs and placement year opportunity extremely beneficial in helping me to prepare for work after graduation.
The countless opportunities to play all kinds of sports are definitely the highlights of my time º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ.
I have never thought about playing Ultimate Frisbee seriously before, but since I have joined the AU Ultimate Frisbee, I have started to enjoy the sport more and all the socials we have done together has been incredibly fun.
If you enjoy sports and love science, this course is for you. I cannot think of any University that could provide the same quality of teaching and opportunities to work with athletes other than º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ.
