º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ us
Our team aim to support your work to inform and enthuse students about Higher Education through a programme of in person and virtual events and a range of free teaching resources.
HE and Careers Fairs
We attend Higher Education and Careers Fairs and events in schools and colleges. We'll bring a display stand and materials relating to HE and º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ. We love meeting students and their families at these events and answering their questions.
We also attend many of the Large HE Conventions, coordinated by UCAS, What Uni and UK Uni Search.
Presentations and workshops
We offer a range of presentations and workshops to help inform students about topics relating to their educational journey. Our offering incudes: Post 16 subject choices, HE, the UCAS Process, Student Finance and university life.
Our sessions can be delivered in school / college, virtually or pre-recorded - please contact us to discuss your needs.
Visiting campus
We offer a range of events on campus supporting students to learn about HE, take a campus tour, meet our amazing Student Ambassadors or find out more about specific subjects.
Take a look through these webpages to see more or drop us an email.
Teaching resources
We have developed a range teaching resources that can be used within your own classrooms, they are all free to use.
- Some resources are subject specific, designed by our academics and researchers.
- Some resources are designed to help students make choices about their post 16 and post 18 subject choices or about their pathway.
- Some resources are designed and delivered by our alumni and industry colleagues to help students gain an understanding of the world of work.
Please browse our webpages and email if you would like more details.
Widening participation
We do place a lot of emphasis on working with students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have the academic potential to progress to university but may not traditionally do so.
To achieve this locally we work collaboratively with the other Leicestershire based universities and colleges providing Higher Education learning through the Pathways partnership. We also work nationally in partnership with 15 universities on the Realising Opportunities programme, working with targeted Year 12 and 13 students to support their progression on to research intensive universities.
We are committed to supporting all students throughout the important stages of their educational careers to reach their full potential and to inspire them to continue to study their favourite subjects through to degree level.
We hope that you will find the information on these pages useful and that whether you are a teacher or a Careers Advisor we hope it will help support applications to Higher Education.
