Our focus for Creative Arts students at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ is upon sustaining a vibrant, innovative, and practical environment in which they can realise their fullest potential as creative practitioners, with the guidance and inspiration of expert academic and technical support staff. Students are equipped with a wide range of skills and experiences through creative hands-on work and via the School’s extensive industry links.

Research degrees

In addition to our exciting range of taught programmes, there are also a variety of funded and unfunded opportunities to join the School of Design and Creative Arts as a Doctoral Researcher. We welcome applicants who wish to join our interdisciplinary, forward-thinking, inspirational family of researchers, using creative practice to solve real-world problems and improve lives in existing and future communities. Research and teaching

As a School of Design and Creative Arts, our mission is to use our expertise and knowledge to make positive changes to lives around the world. Our world-leading research enables us to discover, explore, and develop new ideas, concepts, methods, tools, services, and products that contribute to a healthier, safer, more productive, sustainable, and equitable world. Facilities

Our creative hubs form the heart of creativity and production at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ. These are: Creative Digital Technology and Photography; Print, Stitch and Dye Textiles; Fine Metal, Wood and Woven/Constructed Textiles; Painting and Printmaking; Stone, Heavy Metalwork and Ceramics; and Performance and Rehearsal Spaces.

Students have full access to a range of outstanding learning and teaching facilities, including newly refurbished study areas, state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, a theatre, music rooms and a variety of offices for seminars and small-group activities. These inspiring spaces enable exploration of numerous creative possibilities and the production of industry-standard work.
