During my studies I was able to secure practical internships with Lichfield Swimming Club, Derbyshire CCC and with Durham CCC as a Performance Nutritionist.

I also began to build my Nutrition focused social media account (@Happetite_) and hosted workshops and 1-2-1s for º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Lifesaving and Lacrosse.

This exposure to the applied field really helped me build my portfolio and client base which has supported me progress to my current employment as U18s Performance Nutritionist at Tottenham Hotspur FC following two seasons at QPR.

I never intended on going to university, however, after huge persuasion from my head of year, I chose º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ and remained for my postgraduate study. Being the best University in the world for Sports related subjects, it was a no-brainer.

All areas of my course were useful; from staff and guest lecture contacts, access to state-of-the-art exercise physiology equipment and testing labs, to the smaller more personal aspect of my MSc.

Studying at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ provides you with so many opportunities outside of the lecture theatre.

I could not fault the support from lecturers and my personal tutor, the adaptability and support I received was fantastic.

All staff were always happy to arrange a Teams call, or a chat after the lecture to provide the best possible advice and guidance. I would highly recommend really using your personal tutor too, that’s what they are there for.

I have made friends for life at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, people who I have since been travelling with, completed further work research projects with and built so many more memories outside the bubble.

NCSEM I feel is a hidden gem on Campus. This is where my friends and I spent most days studying, writing our dissertations, and doing practical work in the labs. This is such a great study space and with access to Sport Science tutors around, it’s an excellent facility on campus.

The sport participation, facilities and spectatorship aspect of º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ is also fantastic, and of course, Bom Bom cookies!

My advice to prospective students is to keep asking questions! Something as simple as assisting someone in their PhD research, could land you a job opportunity in the future.
