Academic support
We offer all our students a bespoke induction programme so you're aware of the wide range of support services that we provide at our London campus to help you with your studies.
Academic Advisors
When you register as a student at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ London, you will be assigned an Academic Advisor who will be able to provide support and academic guidance throughout your postgraduate studies.
You will typically be invited to meet with your Academic Advisor at least once a semester and you will also be able to contact your Advisor via email to discuss any University-related queries you may have.
Student Support Managers
We will also give you the opportunity to meet regularly with the Student Support Manager who offers pastoral care. We always work in close partnership with you to offer advice on policies and procedures.
Our Student Support Managers are here to assist you with programme administration, welfare support and any other academic enquiries you may have.
Mathematics Learning Support Centre
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ's award-winning Mathematics Learning Support Centre (MLSC) is designed to help students who encounter mathematics and statistics that are new and challenging to them.
Mathematics and statistics support is available to every º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ student remotely throughout their university journey.
Support includes:
- bookable remote support sessions for individuals and groups
- specialised statistics advice on collecting and analysing data for master’s students completing their dissertation

Academic research support
The Academic Librarian in London can support you with your research and referencing skills. You will have in-class support in key modules, but if you are struggling to find appropriate information for assignments, require support with using any of the library systems to access resources, or with referencing and citations, then you can book one-to-one or group appointments with the Academic Librarian, Laura Newman. Please email Laura Newman to book your appointment. Find out more about the Library resources.
Academic Language Support Service (ALSS)
We have an Academic Language Support Service which offers a range of online resources for UK, EU and international students who wish to improve their academic English skills.
We recognise that for some of our students, English may not be their first language. Our English for Academic Purposes Tutor, Martin Hyams, is therefore on-hand to provide English support to our students. Martin specialises in English for Academic Purposes, and he is in post to deliver embedded provision within the curriculum, focusing on academic language and academic conventions directly relevant to module assessment. You can contact Martin Hyams via email to outline your priority needs.
