There are lots of funding opportunities to support with payment of your fees and ways to earn money alongside your studies.

Master's funding

We have a number of scholarships and bursaries available, details of which you can find on our master's funding pages.

In most cases you do not need to apply for a scholarship separately, as you will be assessed on the basis of your master's application. If you are required to submit a separate scholarship application form, this will be stated clearly on the webpage.

Funding available for research students

A research degree is a long-term commitment, so it is important that you have the relevant funding in place before you commence your studies. You can find various funding and studentship options on our research funding pages

Become a Student Ambassador

Student Ambassadors are current students who represent the University at a variety of events, such as web chats and open events. Operating at both the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ and London campuses, it's an ideal way of earning money alongside your studies and offers a variety of opportunities to enhance your personal development and gain a range of employability skills.

Hall of Residence Subwardenship

This information applies to º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ campus students only.

Each hall of residence on the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ campus has a warden’s team comprising of a Hall Warden and several Subwardens.

Subwardens assist the Warden in the day-to-day running of the hall. This may involve pastoral, disciplinary and administrative duties, as well as being involved in the social aspects of hall life. Subwardens provide out-of-hours emergency cover to students and help to ensure the smooth running of the hall.

Free accommodation (suitable for a single person) is available to all Subwardens throughout the year, along with meals to those in catered halls of residence. For those in self-catered halls, meals are provided during term time throughout the diners+ scheme.

Community Subwardens

There are also community subwardens, who help and support all students living off campus in the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ area. These are paid positions, though no accommodation is provided.
