One of the aims of the Student Ambassador scheme is to develop students’ employability skills, helping you to become ‘job-ready’.
A Student Ambassador committed to personal development may have the opportunity to develop the following skills:

Compulsory training course
Newly selected Student Ambassadors will need to attend a compulsory training course before they work at an event. This will consist of two modules:
Getting started
This introductory workshop will help you to:
- Find out what is expected of you in Ambassador work, including terms and conditions
- Find out the most up to date University marketing messages
- Share ideas on what works when engaging with young people
- Get useful tips on practical issues such as what to do in an emergency, and staying safe around children (safeguarding)
- Consider your development needs for presentation skills
