Get involved
To become a Student Ambassador, individuals must go through our annual recruitment cycle. This is to ensure that we get the right people for the role: those who are passionate about Higher Education and have the suitable skills needed to excel in the role.
Applications are now closed for 2024/2025.
Applications for the next round of Student Ambassadors will open in Autumn 2025.
The application process
Step 1: Read the job description and complete the online application
First, you will need to provide your personal details, including your education and employment history. You will then be required to submit a supporting statement that demonstrates your suitability for the role, referencing the person specification outlined in the job description. Please include examples and evidence that highlight the skills required for the position.
Step 2: Shortlisted applicants interview
If your written application is successful, you will be invited to the second stage of the application process. This will be a Video Submission Task. Applicants will be asked to produce a short (2 minute max.) filmed video / presentation on a pre-determined topic. Alternative options can be discussed with the Student Recruitment Project Officer after shortlisting.
Step 3: Successful applicants contacted
Once all the applications have been assessed, successful students will be chosen and contacted. You will then need to sign a contract and agree to our code of conduct, which will be sent to you via email. Following this, you will be invited to attend a compulsory training course ( in November).
If you have any further questions about the recruitment process, please contact Hannah Eickmann, Student Recruitment Project Officer at ambassadors@lboro.ac.uk.
