Athletic Union Club

Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net on a court. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team’s court under extensive organised rules. Volleyball has been a part of Summer Olympic programme since 1964.

We have 2 mens and two womens team. Our teams compete at four league levels, University, National, Regional and Local, excelling in all of them. We have had a lot of success at the National Shield, at BUCS and have also had members represent at the European Universities Volleyball Championships. Many of the students joining the club and alumni have represented their country in international competition as well. At National level, both our men’s and women’s teams compete in the second division and battle for promotion into division one.

We train 1-3 times a week in Sir David Wallace sports hall and we cater for all levels, beginner's to National level athletes.
