Men's Hockey

Men's Hockey at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ offers opportunities to compete in the England Hockey National League Division 1 North (outdoor) and National League Division 1 (indoor) as well as the newly formed British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) National League. We also offer a number of recreational options so you can enjoy playing at a less competitive level.

Performance

Our performance team is supported by many full-time and part-time coaches as well as strength and conditioning coaches, lifestyle support coaches, and a number of sport science professionals experienced in disciplines including Performance Analysis, Nutrition, Psychology and Physiotherapy. For our top players, scholarships are also available.

The performance squad (first team) currently competes in the England Hockey National League Division 1 North Conference (outdoors), England Hockey National Division 1 (indoors) and the BUCS Hockey National Premier league. Competing in these leagues allows us to play against some of the best teams in the country.

The men’s head coach is former student and player Jerome Goudie and supporting him is Men’s Assistant Coach Alex Bailey.

Athletic Union Club

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Students Men’s Hockey Club is the most successful student club in the country, currently running 5 Men's teams, both on Wednesdays in BUCS competition and at the weekend in England Hockey and Midlands leagues. Our club has a great reputation for producing many international players, but we cater for all abilities across our different squads.

Hall Sport (IMS)

We encourage you to compete in hockey for your halls of residence in IMS competitions held throughout the year. You compete in teams against other halls, and these competitions are always great fun.

My Lifestyle

Hockey is also available through the My Lifestyle initiative, where you can give the sport a go and have loads of fun at the same time.
