Equestrian

Equestrian at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ caters for all levels, from people who have never sat on a horse to people who have ridden for years. If you love animals, exercise, and love to challenge yourself then the Equestrian is for you.

Athletic Union Club

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Students Equestrian is split into three sections; teams, development and recreational. If you’re interested in horses, then this is the place for you!

We welcome all abilities; from learning riding to competing against other universities, there’s something for everyone. You don’t need your own horse to join the club they’re provided by Long Lane Equestrian.

We have various teams representing º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ in both showjumping and dressage competing at varying levels in both BUCS and a friendly league against local universities. The development squad is for riders aiming to compete in teams in the future, with regular training each week to work towards end of semester inter-club competitions. Recreational riding caters to everyone from beginner to advanced. Fun weekly sessions are run as well; offering seasonal activities, hacks, beach rides and specialised clinics.

The club also offers monthly ‘give it a go’ sessions for different riding disciplines such as horse-ball, cross country and much more!

There’s a variety of trainings and lessons taking place each week at Long Lane Equestrian Centre, a friendly yard with knowledgeable staff and a range of horses to suit all abilities.
