The School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences Doctoral Researcher (Regenerative Medicine) surged through on the last lap to take the UK title, and place fourth overall.
Warner-Judd’s strong finish has now guaranteed her a starting place in Budapest later this summer (19 – 27 August 2023).
The 28-year-old has previously spoken about how she had “found her love” of running again following a difficult spell.
In a wide-ranging interview with Athletics Weekly, she said: "I put too much pressure on myself…I worried about what people thought of the shape I was in. I kept looking on social media and worrying about everybody else so I deleted Twitter and Facebook.
"I kept Instagram because I like posting pictures of my dogs. I really struggled with that, the whole pressure of it.
"I'm finished with my PhD this year. It's been really hard so it was just trying to go back to basics, enjoy it, not over train and be smart."
