Emily Scarratt, Sarah Hunter, Helena Rowland, Lark Davies, and Sadia Kabeya were all part of the England squad that secured a tenth consecutive title following the 24-12 win over France.
Now attention turns to domestic duties once again as Rhys Edwards’ side look to end their Allianz Premier 15s season in style with a standalone match at Northampton Saints' home ground.
Sarah Hunter, England captain and Lightning’s player/coach, told º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Sport:
“It means absolutely everything (to captain England to a tenth consecutive victory) …I feel super honoured and proud to be part of so many great England sides, from when I got my first Six Nations trophy, to the one I was lucky enough to part of on Saturday.”
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s match, Hunter added:
“It’ll be the second time we’ve played at Franklins Gardens…this time it’s a standalone match so we’ll be the only game on show that day.
“The fanbase we’re growing at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Lightning is amazing and we’re looking forward to getting as many people as possible down to support us in our last domestic game of the season.”
Tickets for the match (Kick-off, 2pm) are on sale now, with prices starting at £7 for adults and £3 for children. Tickets can be purchased by clicking HERE.
