FAQs

We've put together some common questions you may have about this application process, if you encounter any issues with this process, and you can't see a question that helps you then please contact Amber Main (a.main@lboro.ac.uk) and we'll do our best to support you!

Are there any restrictions on who can volunteer?

In line with the University's People Strategy we are committed to creating a diverse, respectful and inclusive culture, and this opportunity is no exception. So as long as you are able to commit to the minimum of 2 days, and are over 18 years old, you're welcome to volunteer!

If you have any additional needs or support that would help facilitate your volunteering experience please let us know using the space provided on the online availability survey.

On the online availability survey I am available most days but will only be able to volunteer for two days. Should I put down all the days I am available for or just select two?

Please put down all the days you are available to volunteer in the first question, then indicate the number of days you are able to volunteer in the follow up question.

I'm no longer available to volunteer, or need to change the dates I put down, what should I do?

If you are no longer available to volunteer at all, then please contact Amber Main (a.main@lboro.ac.uk) notifying us of this change and we will take you off our database.

When will I receive conformation about the volunteer shifts?

After the applications close we'll work with the British Paralympic Association to arrange a schedule for volunteers based off their given availability. We'll then communicate this via the email address you provided in the form by the end of May 2024 if not before.
