Triathlon

It proved to be an incredible day for º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ-linked triathletes as Cassandre Beaugrand, Alex Yee and Beth Potter all won medals in their respective events.

Archery

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ-linked athlete Megan Havers is through to the last 16 in the Women's Archery 1/8 Team Elimination Rounds after an impressive 6-0 whitewash over Spain’s Elia Canales. The teenager will be back in action on Saturday (3 August) with her opponent yet to be confirmed.

Swimming

Current student Laura Stephens did enough to qualify for the Women’s 200m Butterfly Final after finishing 8th overall in the semis with a time of 2:07.53. The 25-year-old will now contest the podium places at 7:30pm tomorrow evening (1 August), live on BBC iPlayer and Discovery+.

Elsewhere, Luke Greenbank suffered the heartbreak of disqualification in the Men’s 200m Backstroke after breaching the underwater rule.

Hockey

Great Britain Women’s team – featuring a large set of º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ-linked players and staff –kept their hopes of a medal alive after defeating South Africa, 2-1. The first win of the campaign keeps GB well in the hunt for qualification from Pool B.

Boxing

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ College alumna Chantelle Reid’s games came to an end after a tight split decision loss in the Women's 75kg Boxing class. After a tightly fought contest, judges ruled that Morocco's Khadija Mardi took the bout 3:2.
