Pure Water Technology
Tim Whitehead
Pure Water technology filters and sterilises water within two minutes.
While travelling in Zambia, Timothy Whitehead saw there was a lack of clean water available for the local population.
He realised the reliance people had on chlorine tablets for water sterilisation and thought that there must be a better way to overcome this problem.
After investigating he developed Pure Water technology, a water bottle that contains two chambers for filtration and sterilisation. Dirty water is put in an outer chamber and the inner chamber is plunged through it, filtering water particles as small as four microns. Once filtered, the water is sterilised with an ultraviolet bulb in a process that lasts only a fraction of the time it takes for a chlorine tablet to work.
