What is Give ‘n’ Go?

Give ’n’ Go is a campus-wide campaign that we run at the end of the academic year as students begin to move out of their halls and leave º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ for the summer holidays. Our aim to repurpose and recycle as many items as possible that would otherwise end up in general waste and landfill.

We work with several charities to distribute donations given to the campaign by our students to those who need them. Not only does your support have a positive impact on the environment, but you’ll be also helping vulnerable groups of people (and doggos!) in our local community.  All campus halls will have a donation point.

Volunteers will be carrying out a range of duties:

  • Being based near bin compounds to engage with students who are leaving and potentially adding waste to the bins.
  • Walking around hall blocks (allocated to them) and engaging with students about the campaign.
  • When there is spare time, they will help to sort through the donations so far and get them ready for the charities to collect.

Booking required: Yes, you can email enviroassist@lboro.ac.uk  if you would like to volunteer to help at the session. This includes both staff and students. Or, just pop along for a look on the day!
