Welcome to Cayley

Located in the village, Cayley is at the heart of campus and close to lecture theatres, sporting facilities, the University Library and the Students' Union. It is named after Sir George Cayley, a Yorkshire baronet, who laid down the foundations of modern science aerodynamics.

Firefly Night Club

*Please note that at the time of writing Firefly lacks the facilities to support those with mobility requirements from adequately accessing the venue. Once inside the door to the venue, the primary venue areas are accessed by a set of one storey flight of stairs with no lift access available.

As a university, we commit our best endeavours to ensuring all our incoming students have an equitable and positive Welcome experience. We recognise that the lack of physical access into Firefly may affect some students’ ability to attend these late-night activities. If you are an incoming first year student and have shared support requirements to the University, our Student Life Team will contact you directly for further support. If you are yet to share any support requirements with the University you should look to complete our online disability and health portal as soon as possible.
