Primary NRICH: Collaborative Problem-Solving in the Primary Classroom
If you're keen to encourage more collaborative problem-solving (CPS) in your primary classroom, then this is the session for you!
NRICH Director Ems Lord worked with teachers in ten schools to explore the most effective strategies for developing CPS in the primary maths classroom. Find out which CPS strategies worked best, consider the barriers towards embedding CPS and ways to overcome them, and learn about some of the unexpected findings about pupils' attitudes towards working collaboratively (and the reasons which might explain them!). Along the way, Ems will share some of her insights into maximising the potential of NRICH resources in your classroom.
