Publishing your research
Dissemination of your research is key for a successful academic career; you need to communicate your research outputs through the appropriate channel for your target audience. You also need to be aware of the Open Access movement which is based on the key principle that research should be made publicly available and as widely accessible as possible.
The Library can support your use of tools and databases to help you select the most appropriate channels for your research and develop appropriate publication strategies for raising your profile within your research area. Other professional services provide information on publishing your research, promoting your research and media training.
Training on Creating your publication strategy for Research Staff and Doctoral Researchers can be booked through the Doctoral College Development Portal. Training on Developing your publication strategy for academic staff can be booked through myHR.
On demand training, Open Access: the essentials, for Research Staff and Doctoral Researchers can be found in the Publishing and research visibility section of Research Central on Learn.
