Senior Leadership Team & Executive Support
Director of Human Resources
Leads the University's HR department to deliver an excellent employment experience in support of the University's strategy and provides strategic leadership to the University.

HR Partnering Team
The HR Partnering Team provide strategic advice, guidance and support regarding all aspects of employee relations. In collaboration with senior leaders and being part of local senior leadership teams, HR Partnering help shape and implement effective people strategies and activities by using a range of data sources to provide insights into people and culture. In addition, and in conjunction with the HR Advisers from the HR Services Team, we support managers with all employment relations cases, day-to-day operational HR matters and policy development/review.

HR Projects Team
The HR Projects Team provides project management support to projects within HR, as well as University strategic projects that require HR involvement. Team members manage a portfolio of projects individually, as well as maintaining the overall portfolio through the HR Portfolio Board governance structure. The team also delivers ongoing training to HR colleagues in process improvement and provides peer support in localised process improvement projects.

HR Services Team
The HR Services team supports the university by managing key employee lifecycle activities, including probation, absences, fixed-term renewals and leavers. They are your first point for general HR enquiries relating to existing staff.

A member of the HR leadership team, responsible for leading the HR Services team who provide administrative and advisory support to the university for all employee lifecycle processes, for example, probation through to retirement.

Payroll Services Team
The Payroll Services Team ensures accurate and timely processing of all payroll-related tasks. The team oversees statutory employee-related deductions, reporting, and submissions, and ensures HMRC compliance. Additionally, the Payroll Services Team provides transactional pension services in collaboration with Reward & Benefits.

A member of the HR Leadership Team. Overseeing the accurate and timely processing of salaries, including pensions and tax compliance, while ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, regulations and HMRC legislation.

Recruitment and Resourcing Team
The Recruitment, Resourcing and Immigration team provide a comprehensive, efficient, and supportive recruitment service, catering to the needs of both the university and prospective employees. We work to attract talented and diverse candidates across the UK and internationally through innovative attraction and advertising strategies; as well as working in partnership with schools and services to deliver a great candidate experience for all. We can coach and empower leaders to adopt inclusive and accountable recruitment practices that support the University’s strategic aims and can provide expert advice on any matters related to recruitment and immigration.
