Decommission Existing Gas Main Running in Holywell Undercroft (Tunnels) Serving Holywell Building (058) - 26-27 September 2024

Description of the works

The mains gas service to Holywell Building is now redundant and is to be decommisioned.  The existing gas service is to be isolated and capped within the Holywell Undercroft (Tunnel) area, the redundant pipework up to Holywell Building will be purged with nitrogen.  Redundant pipework is to be left in situ with a new flange that will be blanked off for future connection.

The works will be carried out by the University's gas specialist Contractor, William Freer.

Thursday 26 September 8.00 a.m. - Friday 27 September 4.00 p.m.
