Hall community and events
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ has an unmatched sense of community on campus. When you join one of our halls of residence, you'll be welcomed by your hall committee who will make you feel at home from day one.
Where you live and who you live with is a huge part of your student experience, in halls you will create some of the best memories of your time at University. With our helpful student-led hall committees and plenty of opportunities to get involved, you'll have an unforgettable time in our student accommodation.
Hall committee
All halls of residence on campus have a hall committee which is run by students, for students. Your hall committee will make sure there are plenty of social, relaxed, and sporting activities that you can get involved in throughout the year to have fun and make new friends.
Each hall committee consists of up to 20 members who all play a part in making your freshers week and student experience throughout the year the best they can be.
Each committee member has a specific role and purpose (like a hall chair, social reps, sport reps, etc.). They are your main contact for getting involved in every part of the unique and an unforgettable º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ experience!
Hall events
Your hall committee will organise a range of fun activities throughout the year, not just during fresher's fortnight, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to socialise and meet new people.
Hall events include: Winter and Summer balls, Summer hall fun days, refreshers week, parties, movie nights, sporting events and wellbeing events like tote-bag painting, spa days, cake decorating. Some halls also have unique events, such as the Royce 100, which have become well-loved traditions for students.
Get involved
There are plenty of ways to get involved with your hall community, hall sports and voluntary charity work are particularly popular amongst our students.
