Nominated contacts

Please remember to add one or two nominated contacts (typically your parent or guardian). You may have already done this on UCAS, but it's worth checking in the Accommodation Hub.

Why are nominated contacts important?

We know that parents and guardians may have questions about accommodation at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, and may sometimes call on your behalf. In order for us to talk about any individual student, we need parents and guardians to be registered on our database as nominated contacts. We can only speak to them freely once we have received your permission to make them a nominated contact.

Nominated contacts can also request a welfare check on a student. We take wellbeing seriously in our halls and will always visit the student in person and check in with them when welfare checks are requested.

How you can add a nominated contact

Only a student can add nominated contacts to their profile.

By email: Please email us your nominated contact's full name, relation to you, and full contact details (phone number and email address).

By phone: Call the Student Accommodation Centre and we can add your nominated contact to your student account while you're on the phone. We will ask for your nominated contact's full name, relation to you, and full contact details (phone number and email address).

If you are a parent calling us, you need to be in the same room as the student you are calling on behalf of. We will then ask you to briefly pass the phone over to the student to request permission that they are happy for you to speak on their behalf.
