International exchanges and study abroad students
We offer International exchange and study abroad students the opportunity to apply for a place in University halls of residence.
If you are coming to º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ in September for one semester or a full year you will be able to apply online for accommodation in June, once your place is confirmed. Please note that any applications received after 31 July will only be considered subject to availability.
Offers of accommodation will be made subject to availability from late August. Contracts will commence from late September before the start of term.
Halls accommodation is not guaranteed, however, we promise to help you secure University allocated accommodation either on-campus or by referral to an approved off-campus provider.
If you are a current international exchange student seeking accommodation for the academic year 2024/25, see our dedicated page below:
Applying for 2025/26 accommodation
Step one - Register and research your options
Take a look at our halls of residence and the type of accommodation available for you.
You can browse our halls and find out which halls are available for exchange and study abroad students.
When you make an application, we will be asking you for your preferences so make sure you have an idea of what you are looking for but don't limit yourself to one choice. All our halls offer a great environment to study and have a strong community spirit.
From mid-May you will be able to register on the Accommodation Hub. Our online reservation system will guide you through the short registration process and when this is complete you will receive a confirmation email. When you are eligible to make an application, you will be able to reserve your accommodation online from a live list of available accommodation.
Step two - Reserve your accommodation
Once you have met the conditions of your offer for your course, you can reserve your accommodation online from a live list of available options.
When you select a room it will be held for 15 minutes for you to complete the reservation. If you do not complete the reservation in that time, it will be released, and you will need to make a new selection.
Step three - Agree your accommodation contract
Once you have reserved a room online, you will have 5 days to review and accept the offer.
You will need to enter your login username and password that you created when you registered to accept your contract online. At this point you will be entering into a legally binding agreement with the University - your landlord.
You will be sent an email confirming your contract via the email address you specified on your University application.
It's important that you
- Confirm your room by accepting the terms and conditions and online contract.
- Complete the online induction and book your arrival slot (available from late August).
We're here to help, so if you experience any problems applying for your accommodation, please contact us.
