  • Postgraduate Teaching Assistant in Biomechanics and Motor Control

Tom graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2013 with a degree in Sports Science for Performance Coaching before graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a Master of Research in Sports Biomechanics in 2016. Following the completion of both his undergraduate and master's degrees, Tom returned to the medical devices industry, where he supported orthopaedic surgeons during soft tissue surgeries. He also provided training in the use of a range of equipment to surgeons and hospital staff.

Tom joined º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ in 2023, and currently supports the delivery of Biomechanics teaching in the School.

Alongside his role in the School as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant, Tom will conduct doctoral research into the effect of slopes on technique and performance outcomes in golf, under the supervision of Dr Michael Hiley and Dr Glen Blenkinsop.

Tom is a keen sportsman and plays football and golf whenever possible with the aim of becoming a scratch golfer in the future.
