Lauren has a degree in Speech and Language Sciences from Leeds Beckett University, where she was a student from 2011-2014. This degree included placements in schools and Speech and Language Therapy clinics. Lauren then went on to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Special Education: Autism (Children) between 2014-2015. Since completing her degree and certificate Lauren has worked in various roles supporting young people with a range of special educational needs.

Prior to joining º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, Lauren worked within the Local Authority’s Autism Outreach Team, supporting both students and staff in a range of educational settings. She offered both advice and support for students on the autism spectrum, and support to staff working alongside the students. This support included autism-related strategies alongside wellbeing and mental health support.

  • To provide guidance, advice and support to students on wellbeing issues.
  • These may include but are not limited to, disability support; mental health support; medical issues; financial support; dyslexia and other specific learning differences; emotional wellbeing; attendance issues.
