Key roles and responsibilities

Working within the Marketing and Advancement Directorate, Jon is responsible for marketing for the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences. This includes the promotion of research and innovation, as well as the degree courses/programmes on offer within the School. Specifically, his role is to:

  • Create, write and coordinate production of all School marketing materials and activity for undergraduate and postgraduate (taught and research) recruitment
  • Oversee the organisation of key School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences recruitment and research events including University open days, coordinating the production of marketing materials
  • Develop and integrate School research and innovation marketing and communications plans to successfully promote the School’s research capabilities and innovation activities
  • Undertake market research, including competitor analysis and market scanning to support decision-making and identify new opportunities for the School
  • Oversee the maintenance and continual development of the School website and social media channels
