The event, hosted by programme leader Dr Daniel Fong, brought back six graduates from different cohorts of the course which started four years ago to talk about their experiences on the course and after graduation.
The attendees quizzed the graduates on a range of topics including why they chose the programme, how it helped in their chosen career, how they looked for jobs and what they did after graduating.
Each of the graduates had followed different routes since leaving º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ with some taking up further studies doing PhDs and others taking up roles in lecturing, physiotherapy and setting up a personal training business.
Feedback from the attendees was very positive. They found it useful to hear from graduates who had come from different backgrounds and followed different paths after completing the course, and to be able to ask questions and hear first-hand about their experiences.
Dr Fong said of the event: “It was great to invite the graduates back to º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ to hear about what they’ve been doing since they finished the programme and it provided a great opportunity for our current students to ask questions, network and make contacts, which will help them in their future job search.”
The event was part of a programme of workshops held for students on the course.
The graduates who kindly gave up their time to speak to our current students were:
