Voting is now open for the winners of this year’s Enterprise Awards – º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ’s annual celebration of academic and entrepreneurial excellence.
This year’s Awards recognise achievement across four categories, and the winners will be announced on Tuesday 21 May. The School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences (SSEHS) has a project in the Impact Category: Physical activity guidelines for adults with spinal cord injuries, led by Professor Vicky Tolfrey and Professor Kathleen Martin-Ginis from the Peter Harrison Centre for Disability Sport.
The º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ team is part of a global partnership to develop exercise guidelines to help people with spinal cord injury improve their health and wellbeing.
Over the next few days we will share more details, but in the meantime we encourage everyone to visit the Enterprise Awards 2019 website and find out more.
Winners will be decided by the public vote which closes at midnight on Sunday 19 May.
SSEHS has also been recognised in the Partnership Category for its longstanding collaboration with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). This 15-year partnership between SSEHS, Sports Technology Institute and the ECB has effected wide-ranging changes within cricket – spanning fast and spin bowling, batting, pitch length for junior cricketers, and protective equipment for batters.
The winner of this category will be decided by an expert panel, but you can meet the finalists by visiting the Awards website.
Please show your support and join us in congratulating them on their excellent nomination achievements.
