º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ academics looking for volunteers aged over 65 for study on the impact of exergames

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ academics are looking for participants aged over 65 and preferably with a history of falls and balance problems to take part in a study on the impact of exergames on postural control and the risk of falls.

The study aims to determine whether playing interactive videogames on a balance board can help improve older adults balance and decrease their risk of falls.

Participants will be asked to attend three training sessions a week for eight weeks at the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ. Each training session will last about 30 minutes and participants will be asked to play a series of interactive videogames.

There will also be three assessment sessions lasting approximately one hour – one at the start of the training, one at the end and one three months later.
