Physical activity and cancer prehabilitation: innovation in digital delivery

Presented By National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine (NCSEM) and the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (FSEM).

This seminar is part of a series of four seminars jointly hosted by the three NCSEM hubs and the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (FSEM).

It will explore how prehabilitation services for cancer have been affected by COVID-19. Clinical teams from around the UK will share insights on how they have innovated and adapted, with a focus on digital delivery of services.

The online session will feature five speakers each bringing a unique insight to prehabilitation services for cancer, full details of the speakers are below.

This event will take place online. It is free of charge and open to anyone with an interest in the topic. To book your place please click on the book now button above and complete the booking form. You will be emailed details of how to access the online talks the day before the event. The talks will all be recorded and will be made available after the event.

The session will begin by setting the scene for the evidence for prehabilitation. Three talks will then be delivered outlining three different approaches to prehabilitation. Following the talks there will be a discussion about the role of digital tools for prehab and what has been learnt about remote delivery of services during Covid-19.
