After graduating in BSc Physics from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Paul followed his passion and studied MSc Sports Engineering at the Chemnitz University of Technology. For his Master’s project, Paul spent half a year abroad at the Centre of Sports Engineering Research at Sheffield Hallam University, where he developed a method to analyse cricket bat swings using a wireless inertial sensor.
Title of thesis: Development of an Intelligent Measurement System for Swing Analysis in Golf
Paul’s PhD project focuses on delivering a measurement system that provides new insights and drives innovation in golf club manufacturing and fitting. The aim is to develop an intelligent system that will coordinate the data captured from multiple measurement technologies and analytical techniques to reveal critical relationships in the data.
