Background

Ieuan Phillips graduated from º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ in 2021 with a BEng in Sports Technology, including a final year project investigating a novel approach and measurement method for subconcussive football head collisions. Following short term research projects as a research assistant at the Sports Technology Institute analysing football ball/boot launch parameters with adidas and Concave, he began a PhD in January 2022 at the same institute. Funded by the Football Association (FA), this project has wide scope within the football head injury research space. Before studying at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, Ieuan attended Gwernyfed High School, Mid-Wales, where he assumed numerous positions of responsibility within the school and community.
