My research focuses on advancing high-temperature heat energy storage and transport systems, particularly for industrial and space applications. I am deeply involved in projects that push the boundaries of thermal technology. For instance, I conduct research for Rolls-Royce Submarines and the UK Space Agency on sodium heat pipes designed for novel nuclear microreactors as part of the NNPPI initiative.
Another key area of my research involves the development of thermal and thermochemical energy storage materials and systems. I am actively engaged in the ADSORB project, where I design, construct, and commission customized test systems. This work aims to develop innovative storage solutions that enhance energy efficiency and sustainability.
My interest in domestic-scale heat and power systems led me to focus on integrating high-temperature heat storage, sodium heat pipes, and free-piston Stirling engines. This multidisciplinary approach was the core of my PhD research, where I designed, modelled, and experimentally characterized a novel heat and power system.
I also have a strong background in environmental engineering and heat systems design, particularly in thermal oil heating systems and air conditioning. This was the focus of my Master's thesis, where I designed a high-temperature thermal oil heating system.
Innovation and practical applications are at the heart of my work. I strive to bridge advanced technology and practical implementations in energy systems. My diverse skill set includes public speaking, presentation, communication, strategy development, research and development, and problem-solving. These skills enable me to drive innovation and achieve success in both technology and business domains.
