The Signal Processing and Networks Research Group (SPNRG) aims to address current communication restrictions in a range of applications from underwater to cybersecurity. As well as publishing more than 1,000 journal and conference articles, many of our research outcomes have already been adopted by industrial partners.

As part of our plans to help protect aquatic wildlife, governments and industry world wide utilise the group's underwater acoustics and noise field measurement research to better understand and reduce potential impacts of man-made noise in these environments.

Our group have also participated in the University Defence Research Collaboration in Signal Processing, providing novel solutions to challenges faced by the defence industry.
