Undergraduate Students
The Wolfson School undergraduate student prize winners include:
- Sam Hawksworth from the Sports Technology B.Eng has been awarded the Andrew Simpson Project Prize - This is awarded to a third-year student in the school whose project contributes most to the improvement of sports through engineering in the view of the Wolfson School’s prize awarding board. Andrew Simpson was a Product Design and Manufacture Engineering student who graduated in 2007. This prize was established in his memory by the Andrew Simpson Sports Enabling Trust.
- Tomisin Sanni from the Electronic and Electrical Engineering B.Eng has been awarded the BEng Final Year Merit Prize - This is awarded to the BEng student with the highest degree mark across all programmes. The prize winner is chosen by the Programme Review Board.
- Vaidik Haresh from the Computer and Electronic Engineering B.Eng has been awarded the BEng Final year Project Prize - This is awarded to the BEng student with the highest project mark across all programmes. The prize winner is chosen by the Programme Review Board.
- Simony Hui from the Product Design Engineering B.Eng has been awarded the IMechE Product Design Engineering Best Project Certificate - This is awarded to a third-year student on the IMechE accredited Product Design Engineering degree programme who completes the best individual project (s) and is judged by the examination board.
- Georgia Collis from the Mechanical Engineering B.Eng has been awarded the IMechE Project Prize - This is awarded to a third-year student on a IMechE accredited Mechanical Engineering degree programme who completes the best individual project and is chosen by the Programme Review Board.
- Areeb Sherjil from the Electronic and Electrical Engineering M.Eng has been awarded the MEng Final Year Project Prize - This is for the MEng student graduating with the highest project mark across all Electronic, Electrical and Systems Engineering programmes. The prize winner has been chosen by the Programme Review Board.
- Suzie Liverseidge from the Sports Technology B.Eng has been awarded the Manufacturing Technology Centre Ltd: Innovation in Manufacturing Engineering Project Prize - This prize has been kindly donated by the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) and is awarded to the final year student across all the manufacturing engineering degree programmes with the best individual project.
- Becky Hart from the Product Design Engineering B.Eng has been awarded the Manufacturing Technology Centre Ltd: Innovation Manufacturing Engineering Final Year Merit Prize - This prize has been kindly donated by the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) and is awarded to the final year student with the best academic performance across all the manufacturing engineering degree programmes.
- Suzie Liverseidge from the Sports Technology B.Eng has been awarded:
- Adidas Sports Technology Merit Prize - This prize is awarded to the best third-year student on the Sports Technology degree programme by the Programme Review Board.
- Adidas Sports Technology Project Prize - This prize is awarded to the student who is judged to have submitted the best Final Year project on the Sports Technology degree programme.
- Christian Barrett from the Mechanical Engineering M.Eng has been awarded:
- School Merit/IMechE Best Student Award - This is awarded to a fourth-year student on the Mechanical Engineering programme with the highest overall mark.
- MEng Final year Merit Prize - This is awarded to a MEng student graduating with the highest degree mark across all programmes. The prize winner has been chosen by the Programme Review Board.
- IET Manufacturing Engineering Student Prize - This prize is a certificate and two years’ free membership of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, which is awarded to the most outstanding fourth-year student on a IET accredited manufacturing engineering programme.
- Frederic Barnes Waldron Prize (IMechE) - This is awarded to the best final-year student on an IMechE accredited degree chosen by the Programme Review Board. To be eligible the students need to be IMechE Affiliate members.
- Rowan Copland from the Mechanical Engineering M.Eng has been awarded:
- School Merit/IMechE Best Student Award - This is awarded to a fourth-year student on the Mechanical Engineering programme with the highest overall mark.
- MEng Final year Merit Prize - This is awarded to a MEng student graduating with the highest degree mark across all programmes. The prize winner has been chosen by the Programme Review Board.

The Wolfson School postgraduate student prize winners include:
- Julie Hickin from the Systems Engineering MSc has been awarded:
- School Merit Prize - This is awarded to the best MSc student graduating from any programme in the Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering.
- School Project Prize - This is awarded to a graduating student from the Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering MSc programme who completes the best individual project as chosen by the Programme Review Board.
- Dan Linsell from the Renewable, Energy, Systems Technology (REST) MSc has been awarded:
- Professor Tony Marmont Award for Best REST MSc Student - This is awarded annually to the student (either full-time or distance learning) with the highest average % overall mark for the REST MSc programme.
- Professor Leon Freris Award for Best REST MSc - This is awarded annually to the student (either full time or distance learning) on the REST MSc programme with the highest average % mark for the MSc project.
- Kon Seremetis from the Engineering Design MSc has been awarded the PG Project Prize - This is awarded to the postgraduate student with the highest individual project mark across all programmes.
