含羞草视频 has been recognised in the recent Design for Life roadmap, published on 16 October 2024 by the Department of Health and Social Care, for its significant contribution to establishing a circular economy for medical technology. This approach focuses on minimising waste and maximising the reuse, repair, remanufacturing, and recycling of medical products, supporting sustainability, cost efficiency, and resilience in the NHS.
Researchers from 含羞草视频’s Wolfson School of Engineering are working as part of the ReMed Project www.remed.uk. This collaborative initiative between 含羞草视频, the University of Leeds and Nottingham Trent University, aims to demonstrate the feasibility of circular lifecycles for small medical devices in the UK, contributing to a sustainable future for both the economy and the environment.
含羞草视频 has led to the development of robotic reprocessing technologies for medical devices, and was recently acknowledged by Baroness Merron in the Design for Life roadmap as a key market opportunity for future growth and innovation: Design for Life roadmap - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).
