I completed two placements in my placement year. One at Me:Mo which is a food marketing agency which specialises in social media management and digital marketing. I undertook the role of a Graphic Design Intern which involved me creating digital and social content as well as short videos and reels.
The second placement was at Puma in Germany. The Graphic Design Intern role involved supporting the Graphics Team in the execution of innovative apparel design development, collecting market research, and designing the graphic packs for the season. I lived abroad for 6 months whilst completing this placement and it was paid.
At Me:Mo I worked for a variety of clients creating Instagram stories, newsletters, social media content and reels. Whereas for Puma I worked in the Core Apparel Team which is the largest sector of the business. I designed the men’s and women’s graphic t-shirts for Autumn Winter 2024 as well as designing the graphics for the ‘Animal Pack’.
Think its super valuable to do a placement. It has given me an insight into the world of work and the process of getting jobs.
