Stuart is a Lecturer in Design at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ School of Design and Creative Arts, with a background in consumer product design, inclusive design and design research methods.
Stuart is Programme Leader for the BA (hons) Design / Industrial Design Programmes at SDCA. His core teaching is service design and experience design, but he also supports industrial design teaching (from an experience design perspective). As a designer, Stuart possess a wide range of skills from designing, developing and running front-end field research with real people through to design development and delivery using a range of state-of-the-art methods, techniques and tools.
Stuart's research focuses on developing and applying service design, co-design and systemic thinking approaches that incorporate ‘data’ to design future products and services within the energy demand reduction context. Selected publications:
